In this document, "we", "us" and "SparrowAI" mean Abhinav Kumar Shukla. "You" means the person or organisation holding a SparrowAI account. "Your visitors" means the people who use the chat widget on your website — they are your users, not ours.
1. The chatbot can be wrong
SparrowAI generates answers with a large language model. The model predicts plausible language; it does not know things, check facts, or understand consequences. It can produce an answer that is fluent, confident and incorrect — including inventing a policy, a price, a date or a product feature that appears nowhere in your content.
This is a property of the technology as it exists today, not a fault we can promise to remove. Reading your website and your uploaded documents makes the chatbot far more accurate, but it does not make it reliable in the way a written page on your site is reliable.
Treat every answer as a helpful draft, not as a statement of record.
2. The chatbot's answers are yours, not ours
The widget carries your brand, sits on your domain and speaks to your customers. To a visitor, it is your business talking.
We provide the mechanism. You are responsible for what your chatbot says, exactly as you would be for a page on your website or a member of your staff. That includes anything it says about prices, discounts, availability, delivery times, refunds, warranties, eligibility or your terms of business.
We are not a party to any agreement your chatbot appears to make with a visitor, and we are not liable for one.
3. Not professional advice
Neither SparrowAI nor any chatbot built on it provides medical, legal, financial, tax, psychological or safety-critical advice, and no answer should be relied on as such.
If your business operates in a regulated field, keep a qualified human in the loop and make sure your chatbot directs people to one. Do not configure it to diagnose, to advise on medication, to recommend investments, to interpret contracts, or to handle anything where being wrong causes real harm.
If someone is in danger or in a mental-health crisis, a chatbot is the wrong channel. Make sure your visitors have a way to reach a person, and make emergency contact information easy to find on your website.
4. How to reduce the risk
- Keep the source material accurate — the chatbot repeats what you gave it, including anything out of date.
- Remove superseded PDFs rather than leaving them alongside the current version.
- Re-check what it says after you change prices or policies.
- Make it clear in the widget's welcome message that the assistant is an AI and can make mistakes.
- Give visitors a route to a human for anything that matters.
- Read your chat logs. They are in your dashboard and they are the fastest way to spot the chatbot getting something wrong.
5. If you are a visitor who chatted with one of these bots
The chatbot you spoke to belongs to the website you were on, not to us. Its answers are that business's responsibility, and any order, refund or complaint is between you and them.
If a chatbot built on SparrowAI is being used deceptively or harmfully, we do want to know — report it to dev.leftnote@gmail.com and we will investigate under our Acceptable Use Policy.
6. About the service itself
SparrowAI is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that automatic reading of your website will capture every page, or that any particular AI model will remain available. We may change the underlying model at any time, which can change how your chatbot phrases things.
Information on our own marketing pages is provided in good faith and may change as the product develops. Where it conflicts with our Terms & Conditions, the terms win.
7. Limits on our liability
Our liability is limited as set out in section 13 of the Terms & Conditions. In particular, we are not liable for loss arising from an answer your chatbot gave, from a visitor relying on one, or from your website's content being indexed as you configured it.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Grievance redressal
If anything in this policy has not been honoured, or you are unhappy with how your data or your payment has been handled, write to our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge every complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
