In this document, "we", "us" and "SparrowAI" mean Abhinav Kumar Shukla. "You" means the person or organisation holding a SparrowAI account. "Your visitors" means the people who use the chat widget on your website — they are your users, not ours.

1. Why this exists

SparrowAI puts a chatbot on websites we do not control, answering questions from people we have never met, using content we did not write. That only works if everyone using it stays inside some clear lines. This policy is part of our Terms & Conditions and applies to you, to anyone using your account, and to every website you register.

2. Only your own websites

You may install SparrowAI on a website you own, or one you are authorised to work on — a client site, an employer's site. That is what domain verification is for.

You may not:

  • verify or register a domain you do not control;
  • point SparrowAI at someone else's website to index their content;
  • use our automatic site reading to scrape a competitor, a directory, a news site or any site that is not yours;
  • attempt to bypass domain verification or the origin checks on the widget.

3. Content you must not feed it

Everything on your verified domain and every PDF you upload becomes knowledge the chatbot can repeat to a stranger. Do not put into it:

  • Other people's personal data — customer lists, employee records, ID numbers, health or financial records. A chatbot will happily read these out to whoever asks.
  • Credentials or secrets — passwords, API keys, internal documentation you would not publish.
  • Content you do not have the rights to — copied material, licensed documents you cannot redistribute.
  • Illegal content of any kind under Indian law.
  • Child sexual abuse material, or content sexualising minors — in any form, ever. This results in immediate termination and a report to the authorities.

4. Things you must not do with the service

Deception

  • Presenting the chatbot as a human being when a visitor asks whether they are talking to a person.
  • Impersonating another business, brand or individual.
  • Running phishing, fake-support, fake-refund or advance-fee schemes through the widget.
  • Using the chatbot to collect passwords, OTPs, card numbers or bank details from your visitors.

Harm

  • Configuring the chatbot to give medical, legal, financial or safety-critical instructions as if it were a qualified professional.
  • Producing content that harasses, threatens, defames or incites violence or hatred against any person or group.
  • Promoting self-harm, weapons manufacture, or the acquisition of illegal drugs.
  • Generating sexual content, or deploying the widget on sites whose primary purpose is adult content.

Abuse of the platform

  • Reselling SparrowAI as your own product, or white-labelling it without written permission.
  • Using the chat endpoint as a general-purpose AI API for something unrelated to your website.
  • Automating traffic — bots, load generators, scripted question loops — to consume tokens or benchmark the service.
  • Sharing one account across separate businesses to avoid website limits.
  • Extracting, copying or reverse-engineering the widget script, the API, or the models behind it.
  • Probing, scanning or load-testing our systems without written permission, or attempting to reach another customer's data.
  • Interfering with token metering or attempting to exceed a plan limit by technical means.

5. What you owe your own visitors

You are the one your visitors are talking to. As a condition of using SparrowAI you agree to:

  • make it reasonably clear that the chat is answered by an AI assistant, not a person;
  • have a privacy notice of your own that covers chat messages being stored and processed by an AI service;
  • not use the widget to gather personal data from visitors beyond what your own privacy notice permits;
  • pass on deletion requests from your visitors so we can act on them.

6. Fair use

Plans described as unlimited are meant for normal business use by one organisation. If your traffic is so far outside that pattern that it degrades the service for others, or if it looks automated rather than human, we may contact you to agree a limit and may throttle traffic in the meantime. We will always try to talk to you before we act.

7. What happens if you break these rules

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

  • ask you to fix it within a stated time;
  • disable a specific registered website;
  • suspend your account;
  • terminate your account and delete its data;
  • report the matter to law enforcement.

For most breaches we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. For illegal content, fraud, attacks on the service, or anything involving harm to a child, we act immediately and without notice.

Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

8. Reporting misuse

If you have found a SparrowAI chatbot being used in a way this policy forbids — or if you have found a security vulnerability in our service — tell us at dev.leftnote@gmail.com, or use the contact form and pick Report abuse. Include the website address and what you saw. We investigate every report.

If you are a security researcher: please report privately first and give us a reasonable chance to fix the issue before disclosing it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine vulnerability in good faith and does not access, modify or retain other people's data while finding it.

Grievance redressal

If anything in this policy has not been honoured, or you are unhappy with how your data or your payment has been handled, write to our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge every complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the service changes or the law does. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially reduces your rights we will email the address on your account before it takes effect. Continuing to use SparrowAI after a change means you accept the updated terms.
